 REIKI (HOLY FIRE) LEVEL 1
(6 Hours)
**Reiki Level 1 is taught in conjunction with Reiki Level
2,
taking both workshops is not required,
but it is highly recommended**
In
level one, the student is introduced to life energy and what this
means when performing Reiki treatment. This training, often called an
initiation, exposes the student to healing energy -- consisting of
one attunement using a Power
Symbol.
Chakras will be taught, allowing the student to receive the full
power of the Universal Life Force. In this early training stage, each
session will increase student understanding of the Life Force and develop
their relationship with the energy force.
As a beginner, the student needs to understand and experience
how it feels to have life essence circulating in their own body, and
how to work with the power of the forces for yourself and
others. After the
initiation, the student may note a subtle energy flowing through his
or her hands. This can be perceived in various ways, including heat,
coolness, tickling, buzzing, or just a strange feeling in the hands.
Sometimes it takes a period of time after the initiation before the
student feels the energy.
This level is open to anyone. No previous experience or
preparation is required. It is usually taught in one weekend. The
initiation connects the student’s energy system to the Universal
Energy. Energy blockages are released, balancing and harmonizing the
major energy center known as chakras. The initiation opens the
central energy channel leading from the crown of the head to the
bottom of the spine. It connects the student to the Universal Energy
permanently, allowing him or her to channel the energy whenever he or she
wishes.
At first, the amount of energy channeled after
the initiation can vary considerably, but the more the student uses
Reiki, the more constant the energy becomes. In this level, the
energy is 80-90% on the physical level, the remainder being on the
mental/emotional and spiritual levels.
